1) We have covered a lot of ground so far in this class. Out of all of the concepts we've covered, what has been the most difficult for you to grasp? What has been the easiest? Why?
2) What strategies have helped you keep up with the material in this fast-moving course? Is there anything you do inside or outside of class that helps you?
3) This course will continue to move at a quick pace. What are some good strategies that are already being used in class to help you understand the material? What improvements could be made in class to better help you understand the material?

1) Learning properties was the most difficult because it was confusing. The most easiest thing was parts in chapter two where we had to do multiplying, subtracting, dividing and adding real numbers.
ReplyDelete2)I practise review questions in the text book and previous tests/quizes and I go over my mistakes from the homework assignments.
In class, I note-take what Mr Jobe says about vocabulary we need to know and challenging questions.
3)I will look over the questions I made mistakes in, or were challenging. I could improve by asking more questions to Mr Jobe.
1. The perfect square trinomials were the hardest because it was so hard to find them. Finding the GCF was the easiest because it was very simple to do.
ReplyDelete2. I go over questions I missed on assignments, tests or quizzes.
3. I will diligently do my hw and keep correcting them. I could improve by asking some things I missed.
1. All of the sections and the chapters for this course so far has been hard for me unfortunately since I am unable to grasp the score the I desire.
ReplyDelete2. The only method that I can think of that could help me improve would be to study a whole lot harder and more.
3. I don't think I have any good study habits. However, I think that I can improve myself by studing harder and reviewing more often (as long as I don't forget to do them!).
1. In my perspective, the hardest portion of this school year was Chapter 7, all of the minor subjects that we've learned were all so hard and hard to understand, that I had troubles in everywhere possible.
ReplyDelete2. Inside the class, I was reviewing what I learned from my math tutor outside of class. So, in class I was rebuilding and making my skills tight, when outside of class, it was for me to make my skills as a beginning.
3. I don't wanna say it as a subject, I just want to say, this whole Algebra session has helped me so much by normal life. It felt like it always existed right beside me, and it was also fun.
1. The most difficult was learning the equations and all the different ways of factoring. The easiest had been the first few chapters of math, which was just BASIC factoring.
ReplyDelete2. Strategies that have helped me in this course is that I listen in class to the different ways of solutions, and when I'm not sure I go through the text book.
3. I am positive that my study habits can improve, but not by much. Math is just basically taking a formula and applying it to different situations, so just studying the formula is easy.
1. For me, learning the properties was the hardest thing to do because I needed to memorize all of the different properties.
ReplyDelete2. I read the examples in the textbook and finished my homework. This helped me keep up with the fast-moving courses.
3. I think I can improve my study habits by reviewing and studying my resources and my textbook.
1) the hardest thing for me to do were word problems because it was hard to set equations and the easiest thing for me to do was finding the GCF because it is something I've already practiced a lot.
ReplyDelete2)The strategy that helped me is taking notes and asking Mr. Jobe questions
3)I will continue to ask questions and take notes but I will look over problems that I missed so I don't make that mistake again
1) We have covered a lot of ground so far in this class. Out of all of the concepts we've covered, what has been the most difficult for you to grasp? What has been the easiest? Why?
ReplyDelete- Memorizing properties were difficult as there are variety of properties o memorize. The easiest was the findig GCF as if you know certain method, you can find it out right away.
2) What strategies have helped you keep up with the material in this fast-moving course? Is there anything you do inside or outside of class that helps you?
- In fact, I had already studied Algebra before, which made me very easy to keep up with the materials. Yet, I do not do anything outside of class such as tutors or academies anymore.
3) This course will continue to move at a quick pace. What are some good strategies that are already being used in class to help you understand the material? What improvements could be made in class to better help you understand the material?
- It will be very easy if I look once through the curriculum before. Class is fine.
- The most difficult concept we've covered was factoring and using charts. It really
ReplyDeleteSorry, the upper was was a failure, I can't delete it.
ReplyDelete1) The most difficult concepts was factoring, since it was very complex. On the other hand, the easiest concept probably was probably finding GCFs, since it was very simple and easy, and I knew about it already.
2) Just like many students, I have studied most of the parts what we are studying already. Therefore, it was quite easy to keep up with the materials. I have a math tutor that helps me in math.
3) The main strategy will be correcting questions that I got wrong during class or homework. If I redo the questions, I will remember how to do them correctly for a long time, and if I don't understand them, I will ask Mr. Jobe. As long as I just maintain how I am doing currently, I do not think I will have a lot obstacles. Class is great, with nice classmates except for a few.
1) The most difficult concept was properties. They weren't so hard in terms of knowing them. However, the different names of properties that we had to memorize drove me crazy. The weird names for 19 types of properties that looked so similar to me really was a real pain for my head. The easiest concept was factoring polynomials. As I read through the question, I could solve it in my head in a split second.
ReplyDelete2) I just did my homework right when I came back home from that class. I had time to review along the weekends and the bonus worksheets gave a lot of help to me. This is just some normal strategy I use to get along with my work and materials in class.
3) A good strategy that Mr. Jobe is using is teaching us through ppt. rather than writing on the board, which is boring. In addition, one way to make the class even better could be by playing the review activity games more frequently. Then, more people will be involved and it would be a better, exhilarating review.
1) I think solving problems with charts was the most difficult concept to grasp. It was confusing using charts and setting up equations. Translating phrases into variable expression or an equation was the most easiest. It was easy because you don't have to solve for it, instead, you just translate the words into numbers.
ReplyDelete2) I ask questions to Mr. Jobe if I have any and review all the notes and work I did before test.
3) I think I should review things right after I learn them, so that I do not review them just before the test. I will ask more questions to Mr. Jobe to improve in class.
1.The most difficult thing we learned so far was the factoring that involved grouping. Factoring can be simple but can also be a very long and complicated. Also, when facotring involves grouping, it can get really complicated. The easiest part we covered so far was the finding the GCFs. It is simple and a basic step for solving many peroblems.
ReplyDelete2. In class, I try to solve a fair amount of problems in class, and then I ask questions to Mr.Jobe. I have also recieved extra help for some time when I was struggling.
3. I should start on my homework right after we have gone through the lesson in class. I also should review all my work constantly throughout the year. I strongly recommend students to go see Mr.Jobe during lunch after school or before school. I have went to get help from Mr.Jobe numerous times and it helped alot since I could focus more on the part I do not quite understand. I think our class has a privellege of having a teacher who is always willing to spend time at lunch to help us with what we need and I think we should use this opportunity if struggling.
1) The most difficult part we covered so far was factoring because I had a hard time figuring out which type of method I had to use to simplify the expressions, and was not absolutely sure if my answer was my final answer. The most easiest part we covered was absolute values of numbers, because we didn't need to have much in mind or needed formulas for these problems, but just the basic knowledge about absolute values of a number.
ReplyDelete2) Strategies that helped me was to listen carefully to what the teacher went through during class, and to read everything in the textbook that might help. I would practice some odd problems and check them at the back of the book.
3) Good strategies are the small reviews using the boards and markers, because it helped us participate more in class and tell us at what kind of position we were. Also, if there were any improvements, it would be to go over problems similar of those that come out in the homework during class.
1)The difficult part was memorizing thd properties
ReplyDeleteEasiest part was Factoring
2)Going over test and quiz helped
3) Going over the wrong question and studyguid
